It's fair to say that I don't post on this page often, because it's the home page. A little introduction for me so you can understand why I do what I do. Every year I have to alter the message as I get older but the very first time I posted here was exactly 1000 days ago! What are the odds that 1000 days since I first launched this page would be Easter Sunday! Anyway as a little roundup first of all I'm going to throw some full on Sam Allardyce stats your way!:

So below I am going to list some of my favourites that I have written either because of nostalgia, general quality or I just find them funny! Please take the time to have a look though and read!
What interesting about this one is because it actually come from beyond 1000 days. It is a match report from Blackburn v Birmingham back on the 21st of October 2014! That's 1,643 days ago! But that because that post came in a time before I paid for my website. To think that I was only 15/16 at the time. I remember that I had been told that match reports were a good place to start when learning how to write. So I would take a file to Ewood park, rest it on my knee and note down all the talking points of the game and this as far as I am aware was the very first. Look how far I've come. Also please excuse the spelling and punctuation I am still learning and I could change it but I feel that would ruin the aesthetic!

This next one is another early one, were I seem to be completely inept at spelling. 20th May 2015, we were linked with signing a player by the name of Seko Fofana, I believe he now plays for Udinese and is a pretty big deal so we might of missed out there. Anyway this one is memorable to me because I remember being sat in Science class writing this one whilst I probably should have been listening. I had seen the rumour on my phone and decided to write about it. One thing I'm taking away from these old posts is how unstructured everything is.

This one is a tad more recent, my piece on when we signed Bradley Dack, honestly I have never been so happy with a transfer. I remember hearing the news, running to the Library in college and writing this. All because of Football Manager, I played football manager all the time and I always bought Dack who always came up good, so I was very happy to say the least!

This was something I felt more compelled to write and actually has some ramification to this very day. I wrote about my experience about watching Amputee Football and why I thought that it was amazing, why I deserved more than it was getting. Since then I have actually become the social media lead for the EAFA so you'll probably see me post for them time and again. But this piece still stands, they deserve more!

This piece was one of the first that signalled a change in this website from just Blackburn news to global football! And it is one that for me genuinely went viral, it is still to this day, of of my most viewed pages every month and has been ever since it was released! I love this one though because I genuinely think I may have scouted out a star before everyone else!

Can't believe I almost forgot about this one, back in 2015 I wrote about a young youth player called Connor Mahoney. It was a small piece about Connor and was the start of my youth watch series (Which didn't last very long) but I also got a response from both his mum and dad so I was pretty happy at the time! Good to see he is doing well for himself since I wrote this. Almost like the players I mention on this site always come up good....

These final two for me are important, they are two of my most recent but signal another change in what I want to be writing like. The first is the fascinating story of Les Herbiers in France and there incredible journey to the final of the French Cup against PSG and the other is the even more incredible yet unknown story about the first northern team and first Blackburn team to win the FA Cup. But for me these are important because this is what I want my writing to become, I want to be able to write big feature articles that tell a story from start to finish and take hours of research, I feel like people respect and enjoy reading these more because they are something different. Plus I enjoy writing them more as well so win win.

Honestly though if you are going to read anything please read the Blackburn Olympic piece, it is much more like the stuff that I want to do and it is probably my most appreciated piece. When you go from reading my first to my latest you can see how much I've changed and improved as a writer. Work experience at the moment has be shackled down which stops me writing as much as I would like but that good. I wouldn't be in the position I am today with the amazing opportunities that I have been given if it wasn't for this website. 5 years of writing on here isn't nearly enough! So if from now on you want to be interested by the things that you read and follow me on ,my journey to be a full fledged Sports Journalist then keep on reading and keep on supporting it really does mean everything to me that you keep coming back! Thank you so much! Here's to another 1000 days!
