Usually for something that I put on the site I will do research into a subject or have to spend a while looking into background or facts of a topic. But this one is a bit different because this one is all from me.
I enjoy writing, no seriously I do. If I’m board or find myself with nothing to do then I’ll look for something to write about. For example at the moment there are a lot of topics that I am looking into and will hopefully have up soon. I tried going down the random rout for a while, where maybe I’d look at a specific player or tactic and analyse the hell out of it. But as I research and dig into a player it genuinely makes me more and more depressed, I mean there are a few bright sparks when it comes to player profiling but that’s it, a few. The problem is as I write them it feels more and more like I am purposely avoiding the main problem and it feels more and more like every topic that has a ‘bad ending’ is the same bad ending.
Currently I think I have 5 or 6 uncompleted articles 3 of which are not about Rovers at all and they are much easier to write because it’s not as depressing (seriously) it just feels like when I write about Blackburn I’m writing about the same thing every time: “We have problems here and here, this is because of this person but mainly these people” that’s generally how the things I write at the moment are going.
I want to write about Blackburn, the club that I support in a way that is personal to me and way in which my opinions are not restricted by ‘a higher power’ but how can I make topics interesting and appealing to read if there all the same, I want people who read my stuff to come back to site as regulars because they know that what they’re going to see is different to the neutral shite that newspapers release, which is why I love the transfer window because when a new player comes in a piece doesn’t have to be all “oh happy days a new player to bolster the squad yipeee” instead it can be “Honestly this guy’s crap what were they thinking”
Basically what I’m saying is the reason that nothing new has been uploaded for weeks is because I’m waiting for something different to prop up, obviously I’m going to write about the 1875 protest and I will eventually get the player/ tactic profiles up, I told myself that once the site was live I wanted to upload something ‘at least’ once a month but I just don’t want it to all be the same. But I will never stop writing.
