As it has been clearly pointed out this season Blackburn need a change weather that be a change in management or change in team set-up remains to be seen, but these are just six players that Blackburn ,even with the embargo, could still capture:
1: Freddy Adu
Does the name ring a bell? Well it should do. The once Proclaimed Future Pele and next world sensation has really let his career slide down the drain in the last couple of years having only made 35 senior appearances since 2011 he really hasn't been given the chance he should maybe disserve. But my belief is if you play with better players and teams your going to improve, he hasn't had that in the last few years. At only 25 years of age Adu could add some well needed flair into a very lacklustre midfield, IF he regained form. |
2: Jack Collison
Again another player who was meant to have a very bright future. Having made 0 appearances for Ipswich this season due to injury, Jack would certainly need a slow reintroduction to first team football. Still a wales international Jack has shown the ability to be a great player for club and country but after 2 unsuccessful loans to Bournemouth and Wigan, Jack at the age of 26 has still got potential and should be seriously considered. |
3: Benoit Assou-Ekotto
4: Joseph Yobo
The second defender on this list and probably the most experienced. Yobo currently holds the title for most appearances for the Nigeria capped 100 times and represented the Super Eagles at three World Cups and six African Cup Of Nations tournaments. He also holds over 200 premier league appearances with Everton he is currently playing football for Fellow Championship team Norwich on loan from Fenerbahce. His contract expires this summer and I believe that his experience would be invulnerable. |
5: Diego Lugano
The Final defender on this list is Diego Lugano. The Uruguayan International is what most people would call a globe trotter have played in: Uruguay, Brazil, Turkey, France, Spain, England and more currently Sweden this self proclaimed "Rock at the back" has all be forgotten about apart from by his national side who continue to pick him even after 12 years of playing for the side. This man would defiantly help Blackburn keep more clean sheets than they have this season. |
6: Hugo Almeida
Here we go my piece de résistance and the only sticker on this list Hugo Almeida the Portuguese international is Currently stuck in the same situation as Adu playing with and against bad players. A player with his record deservers better Hugo is still playing along side the likes of Ronaldo and Nani in the national team and with his stature and eye for goal Almeida could almost certainly be a big hit in the championship and on a free transfer why not? |
