After Saturday's loss and Blackburns fourth game without a win fans really jumped on GB's back. Then only hours later a report at the sun realised a article about how Bowyer has been sacked and all hell broke lose. Some fans we're saying goodbye and thank you's whilst others partied at the thought of Bowyer "finally" leaving. So what this blog is about is dissecting what some of the tweets mean that end with #BowyerOut.
This tweet is ,I think, something that not everyone has picked up on so far. This tweet is mocking the fact that Blackburn so far this season have made no signings of any defenders when arguably that is the position that we need the most improvement in. Also that is the position in which we have the least players. Meaning as soon as we get injuries players like Marshall or youth players need to fill in. The fact is we do need some more defenders not defensive midfielders.
What both of these tweets show is something that I personally totally agree with. What they show is fans frustration towards that fact that Bowyer very rarely changes anything! And always plays the defensive, negative and generally risky style of play. What a new manager would bring is a new style of play and hopefully positive. Although this season I will agree that in a lot of cases we have been unlucky not to draw or win games.
Recently it can't be argued that Blackburn's attendance hasn't been well good. In fact it's been poor very poor. For a team that used to get an average attendance of around 22,000-26,000 people and now gets a max of 16,000 and the question has to be asked where have 10,000 people gone. It's incredibly frustrating to be a fan of team and literally watch the attendance of the crowd get lower and lower. When we played Liverpool last season we got a home attendance of around 26,000 again and that really aggravated me to know that 10,000 fans are just choosing not to turn up and these tweets show two more people who won't be there due to the teams performance.
There were a lot more than just these. But these tweets alone show the agrovation amongst fans. Remember that these are the opinions of others not necessarily my own. Thanks for reading!
