Finally! After nearly a year of waiting we are finally free! So unless you have been living under a rock you will know that we Blackburn Rovers will have our transfer embargo lifted and will be free to spend money in the coming window! This is amazing news at a time when fans of the club are becoming increasingly optimistic!
But this means more than just being able to make transfers it also means that we can finally add more Players to the squad plus we can buy players with contracts over 10k a week! But where do we go from here? At the beginning of the season the main reason for people to be worried was the fact that we had an embargo hanging over our heads with a manager who didn’t look like he was going to change up that tactics any time soon but know under Lambert we are like a whole new team! Over the past two games we have taken the lead, in both games we actually looked like a team who desperately wanted to win the game! Midfielders have been scoring goals and the only player who hasn’t played at a high standard has been Rhodes and to be fair he not even been that bad!
We went to a confident Preston a team who hadn’t conceded a goal in their last 8 and we put 2 past them! Not to mention the massive away following! We then came back to a game that in all honesty I didn’t think we were going to win and in the end I was desperately disappointed that we didn’t!
Times are changing for rovers and as long as we can keep within the FFP regulations and continue this good run of form, I still don’t think that we’re going to get promoted but this season could be used as a great starting block for next season!
A manager with experience, Money to spend! Times are changing and I’m looking forward to a new team that we haven’t seen for at least 5 seasons!
(PS reason I haven’t been writing reports lately hasn’t been because I haven’t been going to the games! Because I have! But have been incredibly busy but hopefully I can get back on track asap. Thanks for reading!)
