Recently I have been try to stay upbeat with Rovers. I’ve be trying to tell myself that the Venkys are going to back the club and lambert is going to get money that he wants and next season will be much more stable. But now that hope has gone. All hope that I had for next season has faded to black. All this trouble has come from one source and we all know who that is.
The Venkys have single handily ruined the club. Now I want to make something very clear. I am not a Venkys hater I have not been one of the people who have been on their backs, against them for about 5 years. In fact I have tried to keep myself away from talking about the Venkys just because I don’t want to be seen as a ‘hater’ to put it lightly. But now I don’t think it’s possible for any fan not to admit that they hate the Venkys.
Paul Lambert is leaving at the end of this season and to be honest it’s not like we can say that he’s done a great job at best he has done a satisfactory job. But I liked him. The players that he brought in showed that he had a good eye for players in positions that we needed. Jordi Gomez, Tony Watt and Danny Graham all great buys in my opinion. So when he told us to “look forward” to the summer, I was looking forward to the summer. But I can’t say that I didn’t see this coming either he showed signs that he was leaving almost every weekend for about the past month, and I don’t blame him for leaving why would you want to be in charge of Blackburn? Be honest? If you lose a game all the fans are on your back, you are blamed for bad performances by players, you get absolutely no communication for the owners, and you have no directive! It’s a shambles! And I’m not one for endorsing protests but why wouldn’t you protest! We are in a situation were almost defiantly are next manager is going to be Dunny, Which may not be a bad thing but it’s not going to be a good one. He has passion for the club no doubt about that but is he the right material for our club in the situation that we are in? I think not. But let’s say he isn’t going to get the job. Then who is? Like I’ve said, no one in the right mind would want to manage rovers with the current situation that we are in. Also anyone who looks at Lambert as a traitor for moving (probably) to Celtic I’m afraid that I completely disagree with you he would be moving to a club with a massive fan base, a team with champion’s league aspirations and a team who will win trophies so again I don’t blame him for wanting the move.
So this leads me to my final point. There will be protests whether we like it or not. There are just simply too many pissed off fans for there not to be now, with only 1 game left this season I can see the home game being one that we are going to want to forget about. But will protests, walkouts and pitch invasions work? Probably not. Just look at other clubs who have done the same. The owners just don’t care enough to take any notice. So until they sell the club which I think they will very soon nothing is going to change. Absolutely nothing.
